Genting Highlands 3 days 2 nights holiday

FIRST DAY

We woke up, did some last minute preparations and went to Mid Valley. My stubbornness to put the laptop with me in the back seat proved to be a stupid decision because I didn't even get to use it for one second during the journey to Genting. I was half asleep, really. Sis and I walked with each other while Mum and Dad proceeded to their favorite supermarkets and women department.

After I bought my watch, we walked around until I felt so thirsty, I brought sis to Sweet Chat and I treated her Blue Ocean while I enjoyed my ABC. Mum called a few minutes after the dessert arrived, demanding us to go to Pizza Hut for lunch. So, we hurriedly finished up everything-almost choking me up.

The pizzas didn't tempt me as I was already half full with ice kacang inside my stomach. After that, we went to Jusco, where Mum bought me a pair of shoes, though I must admit pink is not really my choice of color. You know it, my favorite color, don't you?

Then, we started our journey to Genting. I was extremely surprised that it only took us less than 40 minutes to arrive(Awana Hotel). We met Alyssa and her family just a few minutes after that. They told us Iris Kuku was also here, but she stayed in Highlands Hotel instead.

Anyway, there I was, enjoying the fresh air while we waited for the housekeeping personnel to clean up or new room. I managed to reply a few important emails before I discovered a very bad news indeed. When I reached my new room-which I am going to stay with my sister(my parents stayed in a separate hotel room which coincidentally is beside us), I gasped when I got to know that WiFi is not installed in the hotel room. You are lucky you are not there, you will realized how fuming mad I was. I mean, come on...a high class hotel and yet no WiFi? Expect me to go all the way down to the lobby?

Besides that dissatisfaction, I yelled(at the bottom of my small heart) when I saw this baby cockroach. OK, I will mention it when the time is right(I saw this on my second day). So, we settled down and before long, Alena and Adelynn came into our room. We walked around the hotel twice, stopping by at the incredibly abandoned arcade(where I spent RM2 for the tokens), the closed bar, our 'secret place', the mini garden, the Internet Kiosk and so many more. It was bad enough that Alyssa couldn't join us because of headaches, but it was worse when we almost lose Alena in there. What a close shave, twice you know.

At the end of the day, Alena and Adelynn went over to our room and slept through the night. FYI, we have two queen-sized beds per room. I cannot sleep. Seriously, I tossed and turned from 2am to 4am to 6am. Perhaps the most obvious reason of all is the creepiness after gossips had it that Genting is haunted. Or maybe because I am uncomfortable with new surroundings.

Second Day

I woke up with a slight headache. The lack of proper sleep was unnerving. Adding to my distress, the weather appeared gloomy, signifying the end of my desire to step into the theme park once more. The morning started with me, playing badminton with Alena. Again, this court is so...abandoned. I guess nobody even knows the existence of this place. I bathed and saw that bloody cockroach, whacked it.

Then, we set up to wait for the shuttle bus which will bring us to the cable car center and in turn, bring us to First World-where all the fun begins. I will cut long story short. We arrived there within half an hour and gosh, it was indeed raining. So, we ate lunch(mum, dad, sis and I) in Coffee Terrace. The food was pretty scrumptious if you ask me. The buffet spread was enriching and varieties...not bad. Sis and I gobbled up like princess in 15 minutes before we received a call from Adelynn, asking us where we are and whether we wanted to go to the theme park.

We rushed out, met Iris Kuku, Uncle Goh and the rest of Adelynn's family. Dad had to go back to Coffee Terrace-to continue eating while Sis and I walked along with the others. It was not entirely entertaining as my headache drained me out. We never manage to go to the theme park-blame the rain but we went to Snow World instead which wasn't too tempting as I had enter it last year during the class trip. It was icy cold(-5 degrees Celcius). And the slide was exciting...and my butt was 'seriously injured', if you get what I mean.

Next up, we went to Iris Kuku's hotel room chitchat, talked and went to eat dinner in Good Friends restaurant. Food was OK-OK. Then, we went back to Awana Hotel, still dizzy and giddy(the cable car sucks...sorry, not cable car....now that I remember. It is gondola). Adelynn, Alena and Alyssa came to our room(again!). We watched the TV, went down to buy 50% off slices of cakes, went back up to watch TV, called the housekeeping personnel to fix the TV(it didn't produce any sound), etc.

12am, they went back to their own room, living sis and I, pondering whether we should sleep in one bed or separately. At last, we resolved to sleep together- in one bed. I slept well-perhaps because I was too tired.

Third Day

We went down, swam(the five of us) with T-shirts and shorts. The water was 'omg-ish' cold. You can freeze in there. One hour later, Adelynn and I went to the badminton court(we were still drenched with pool water), Alena and sis went back to the hotel room while Alyssa continued to swim. Half an hour later, we went back up ans bathed. The water was freaking cold and I wondered why the management did nothing on the faulty heater(on all the hotel rooma). Walked around one last time, to our secret place before we checked out.

Mid Valley right after, this time buying more snacks to munch on during the holidays.

P/S: Pics up tomorrow.
